Notice, There is NOTHING left on that top shelf! What the heck did I have up there?? All of it was either stuff I handed down to my daughter (purses I never use and stuff), charity, or garage sale. Some was able to be relocated. The clothes that were in there were widdled down quite a bit as well. I have a nice pile for donation going. I got rid of all the hangers that werent the plastic ones I like too. I think it turned out pretty well. I still need a shoe rack, but it is sooo much better! Yay! Can't wait to see what hot spot is next. Hope this motivates someone to do that same and get organized!

Project Simplify: Master Closet
Ok, Here goes. I am participating in a 5 week challenge with Simple Mom to declutter 5 hot spots in my home and get organized! I started out the week very excited about this....but it has proved more challenging than I had thought. I always love the finished product when I organize something, but getting the job done is hard work with three kids, a husband, and a full time job to worry about. But, I managed to get the closet done. And boy did it need it! I had everything in there from Wrapping paper to scrapbooking stuff, to carseats, sewing machines, trash... I'm actually a little embarrassed that it got so out of hand. I think I will def need to do this more often and now that it's done, it should be easier to keep it that way. So here are some before and after shots of my closet.....Proceed at your own risk! :)

Late start
So I'm having a hard time getting started on this decluttering/organizing stuff. I had too much else to do today and have on my calendar to post the finished product tomorrow. Ugh. BUT, I will not put any pressure on myself about it. I was excited to get it done, but I will get it done when I can. I plan on starting in the morning. We shall see if the princess will allow it. :)
I have been remembering a saying that has been a fav of mine for a long time. "Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of it's troubles...it empties today of it's strenth." So true, but so hard to follow. Lately I've been doing a lot of worrying, but today was a good day. I am reminded of how blessed I am to have such great people in my life. My family means so much to me.
FYI for anyone that shops at Target a lot. I went today and saved $10.71 with their new Target Debit Card. It's really cool. It is basically just like your debit card with your bank, but it looks like a Target card and you save 5% with EVERY purchase! So they take a voided check from you for the routing and account numbers and link the card right to your account like a debit card and that's how you pay. You can only use it at Target I believe, but it comes directly out of your account like you were using your debit card. It's pretty awesome and it's FREE! I love Target.
Ok. I think I'm rambling. Gotta get some sleep. Night!

What's this blog thing all about?
I must admit I never thought I would want to blog about anything. But I've been reading some mom blogs and finding a lot of humor and insight in the little everyday things that go on in the life of a family with children. There are trials and tribulations as well as triumphs along the way that, when shared, can help other moms out there to know they are not alone in this crazy thing called motherhood. So what I write here will just be about the everyday life of myself and my family. And if that intrests or helps just one persone then I will have accomplished my goal.
I have many titles in my life. The most important to me being a wife and mother. I wouldn't say my life is anything to be envious of, but I love it and I think from the outside looking in we look like the perfect little family. Haha. I don't think that exists. I think we are made to believe everything is supposed to be perfect and when it's not, we think we are doing something wrong, or that there is something better out there for us. In reality, we all have our moments. Every family has ups and downs. Every couple has arguments. Every mom thinks she is the worst mom in the world some days. But if you can accept the shortcomings of yourself and those around you and move past them and be happy on a daily basis then you are doing everything right and you can make it through anything. I think the words here are meant for me as much as anyone. They are encouraging me as I write them. :)
I am starting a simple mom project today called 'Project: Simplify' and will be decluttering my closet/wardrobe this week. I might post the pics I take later. We will see how bad they are. But if you'd like to join me, visit http://simplemom.net/project-simplify
